つむぎ Tsumugi
A combination of Awaji knots and wooden beads.
These sustainable-friendly earrings are made with upcycled Mizuhiki cords and wooden beads.
Size: approx. 4.0 × 2.3 cm (Excluding metal fittings.)
Metal parts are made of stainless steel.
The beads are made in Germany.
Each piece is handcrafted, so slight variations may occur — thank you for your understanding.
Awaji-knot: It is said that the name Awaji knot comes from the fact that the rounded parts at both ends are shaped like awabi (Japanese for abalone, a shellfish species). If you pull both ends of the string, it will be tied even stronger, so it also has the meaning of “to be tied forever” in hopes of a strong and a long lasting relationship.
CARE & MAINTENANCE
Mizuhiki accessories are delicate and should be handled with care. Avoid contact with water, sweat, or excessive moisture. Gently wipe with a soft, dry cloth after use and store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Proper care will help preserve their shape, color, and beauty over time.
