“Where East Meets North - A bridge of paper, wood, and heart”

Two Worlds, One Harmoney

itookäsi is the meeting point of two distinct landscapes: the historic craft studios of Japan and the quietly breathing forests of Finland.

Our Philosophy

Beauty begins with a single thread.

Mizuhiki knots are created by carefully intertwining threads - much like the connections between people and nature, and between one another.

Each knot is unique, complex, and full of possibility. In mizuhiki, each knot is a symbol. It does not create meaningful connections on its own. Its true meaning comes to life through your thoughts, your intentions, and your actions.

From this single thread, we hope you will be connected to many moments of happiness.
